Checking and replacing fuses

Burned-out fuses will have melted metal strips.

  1. Turn off the ignition and affected power consumers.
  2. Refer to the following fuse box diagrams to determine which fuse belongs to the consumer.
  3. Using the clip, extract the fuse and replace the burned-out fuse with an identical new one.

Note:

  • If the new fuse blows again shortly after installation, please contact an authorized Audi dealer to have the electrical system checked.
  • The following fuse box diagrams does not list unused fuse positions.
  • Some of the listed equipment items are optional or only available in specific model configurations.
Warning! Do not repair fuses and never replace a burned-out fuse with a fuse of a higher amp rating. This can cause damage to the electrical system and a fire hazard.
